In order to accommodate the demanding schedules of our working-adult patients, our office is open early! Days marked as “admin only” are not available for regular appointments, but our staff is available to help with scheduling, or emergencies.
Our most popular times are early in the morning, during lunch, and late in the afternoon; please call us as soon as possible for your preferred appointment time.
Our electronic patient intake system is designed to conserve resources and save you time at your appointment. Patients who have not submitted an intake form two days previous to their appointment will be rescheduled. Please contact us if you have any questions or difficulties with the Intake Form.
During the initial phases of active orthodontic treatment, appointments are usually every 6-12 weeks and towards the end of treatment they are every 3-4 weeks. This averages out to having an appointment approximately every 6 weeks. Most people seeking orthodontic treatment have important obligations during the day, whether for work or school. Occasionally these appointments may conflict with work or school. We will work around these major time commitments with you as much as possible.
We value your time, and have put significant effort into designing our scheduling system to respect the time of every patient we serve. Ultimately the success of such a system relies heavily upon you, our valued patient, to do your part. When you show up on time, we are better equipped to get as much as possible done each visit, provide you with more information about the treatment, and answer any questions you may have.
A rescheduled appointment will be valuable to another patient so we ask that you notify our office 48 hours (two working days) in advance if it is necessary to reschedule an appointment.
While only a handful of long appointments will be required during active orthodontic treatment, such appointments will have to be scheduled during school or work hours, as these appointments will entail more lengthy procedures.
The majority of appointments scheduled during treatment will generally be of a shorter duration. During your treatment there will be times when the adjustments can be carried out quickly, even though they may be very technical. We have dedicated much thought into designing treatment methods that will cause our patients minimal inconvenience. As a result, such shorter appointments allow for flexible scheduling and can be set up early in the morning, during lunch breaks, or after school/work (starting at 2:00PM).
Accidents do happen, even with the best orthodontists, staff and patients. Fortunately, most orthodontic “emergencies” are not critical. If you discover a loose bracket, this is not an urgent emergency and we request that you call the office so we can determine whether or not it is necessary to schedule an appointment to have it fixed before your next scheduled visit. If it is bothering you, simply use your nail clippers and cut the wire in front of the broken bracket and remove the bracket and wire. Protruding Wires can be expected as the teeth move and start to straighten. If a wire is protruding out the end of the last bracket (towards the back of your mouth), nail clippers can be used to carefully cut the wire.
