
Calgary Orthodontist Dr. Darin J Ward.
Dr. Ward graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry and moved to Eugene, Oregon where he focused on his private practice. Being the consummate student, he has completed over 2000 hours of continuing education since 1998.
In 2003 Dr. Ward achieved a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) at the young age of 33.
In 2006, Dr. Ward realized his calling in Orthodontics and was accepted into the Specialization program in Orthodontics, at the University of Colorado. After a further 27 months of intensive training in Colorado, Dr. Ward earned his designation of “Certified Specialist in Orthodontics.”
He utilizes his 10 years of general dental experience to take into consideration your and your dentist’s lifetime strategy for your or your child’s dental health. This includes how treatment will affect the airway, facial balance, growth and development, and future dentistry planned.
Dr. Ward is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Alberta Society of Orthodontists, The International Association of Facial Growth Guidance (IAFGG), The North American Association for Facial Orthotropics (NAAFO), and The American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics (AAGO).

Although Dr. Ward has committed much of his time for over a decade to professional excellence in dentistry, his passions also include enjoying time with his family, listening to all types of music, playing blues harmonica, back country telemark skiing, masters rowing, surfing, cycling, and enjoying the outdoors every chance he gets.
