Invisalign

Using a series of clear, removable, aligners we are able to straighten teeth gradually, providing you with an incredible smile without interrupting your lifestyle. Invisalign offers comfort, convenience and virtual invisibility during your orthodontic treatment, allowing you to focus on the important things in life with confidence and a smile! These aligners are worn for two weeks at a time, for 22+ hours/day, and only removed for eating meals and daily cleaning of the teeth. This technology does have its limitations and does not correct bites that are due to jaw bone malpositioning. A full orthodontic examination can determine if Invisalign is right for you.

TAD’s: temporary anchorage devices
TAD’s have revolutionized orthodontics by making tooth movements that were impossible in the past not only possible but predictable! TAD’s are small titanium screws that are placed in the bone to act as an anchor to move teeth. This technology has created treatment options that minimize the need for invasive jaw surgeries and allow for more efficient and effective treatment.
Light wire functional appliances
Light wire functional appliances that invisibly go behind the upper and lower front teeth (on the tongue side) are often used to gently create space making room for the teeth to fit in the mouth. These are then followed by by braces or invisalign to complete the final alignment of the teeth.
Often times the upper and lower dental arches are collapsed resulting in tooth crowding, a narrow smile, inadequate room in the mouth for the tongue, and bite problems. The advantage of light wire functional appliances is they can be made so they are removable, they fit behind the teeth so they cannot be seen while they are in the mouth, and they minimize the amount of time braces or Invisalign trays must be worn.
